White Papers

In October 2020, the Global Landscapes Forum brought environmental leaders, practitioners, scientists and researchers from across the globe together to exchange knowledge and galvanise action on the planet’s declining health at its landmark GLF Biodiversity Digital Conference. In this set of 15 white papers, the conference hosts provide critical insight on how humanity can make the transition from exploiting to restoring the Earth’s ecosystems while continuing to benefit from the services and resources that they have to offer.
From the restorative potential of peatlands and rangelands to the reverence and integration of indigenous knowledge in forest management, the papers explore pressing topics in biodiversity conservation, building on first-hand experience and lessons learned to identify key barriers and opportunities for ecosystem restoration in the coming decade.
