Tanya is the regional coordinator of the BIOPAMA program for West and Central Africa. She has undergraduate training in law, specializing in human rights ethics, and holds a master’s degree in development, specializing in environmental management. Before joining IUCN, Tanya worked at the United Nations, first at the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) as Director of a Capacity Building project for the Ministry of the Environment in Haiti, and then at UN Environment as manager of an ecosystem approach project in a network of marine protected areas.
