Cristelle Pratt has thirty years of experience working in both the public and private sectors, at national and multi-lateral levels. She has recently completed a six year, fixed term as the Deputy Secretary General of the Pacific Islands Forum (PIF ), and served as Director General and CEO of the Pacific Islands Applied Geoscience Commission (SOPAC ) – a highly successful, performance orientated, multi-disciplinary intergovernmental agency serving twenty-one countries and territories in the Pacific Islands region, from 2004 – 2010. At-the-time SOPAC (now a Division of the Pacific Community (SPC)) had the lead remit for Disaster Risk Management.
Cristelle has also consulted for regional and international organisations such as the World Bank Group, UN Agencies and AusAID in Asia and the Pacific regions – having provided them strategic, policy and technical advice on climate change, disaster risk management and ocean governance.
