Alissa Wachter leads resource mobilisation and program development for WWF’s Global Food Practice. Her nearly 15 years of experience covers fundraising, grants management, program design, and community development with conservation and development NGOs. Prior to joining WWF, Alissa managed a portfolio of large grants and donor relationships at One Acre Fund, an organization supporting a million smallholder farmers across Africa. Originally from the US, she’s lived in Kenya for the last decade, beginning her time there mobilizing programs with community-based organizations in Nairobi’s slums. She holds a M.A. from Azusa Pacific University in Los Angeles, and currently coordinates a group of fundraising professionals in Nairobi.
