Hyginus Laari, a passionate environmental health advocate, is the Youth Communications Officer at the Global Landscapes Forum. Prior to joining the GLF, he had received national and international recognitions owing to his consistent advocacy for the planet’s sustainability through the Sustainable Development Goals 6 and 13, including being an African finalist in the 2018 UN Environment Program Young Champions of the Earth Prize, being one of 100 Young African Landscape Leaders during the “Restoring Africa’s Landscape Campaign” prior to the GLF Nairobi event in 2018, and receiving the Millennium Excellence Foundation President’s Youth Prize for environmental excellence, among others. Currently at the GLF, he manages the GLF Youth communications and outreach needs across all regions, including the Youth in Landscape Initiative social media accounts. He sees advocacy as a medium that can foster positive environmental change in Ghana, Africa and the world at large. He is inspired by hard work, and hence inspires others to reach their full potential.
