Mr Chisvo is a highly successful leader in agricultural development, food and nutrition security, policy analysis and strategic planning. He has over 25 years of experience in agricultural development, with a special focus on food and nutrition security, multi-sectoral strategy development processes, resource mobilization, mainstreaming gender in development cooperation programmes, results-based management, and project formulation and management at national and international levels.
Mr. Chisvo has extensive expertise gained from running an internationally recognised development consultancy firm which has won two international awards for service excellence. He has published a number of peer-reviewed journal articles, policy briefs and books. Amongst his achievements, Mr. Chisvo has successfully led the development of national policies, strategic plans, programmes, and monitoring and evaluation systems for food and nutrition security projects; facilitated the development of an EU-funded regional programme to support the implementation of the SADC Regional Agricultural Policy; and assisted the DFID, EU, CIDA, DAPP, AusAid, Help Germany and BRAC in Bangladesh, Zimbabwe, and Ghana to prepare project proposals that mobilized over USD 300 million.
