Dr. Stephen Nindi is a Political Ecologist, who before joining the Tanzania’s Planning Commission, worked as principal researcher for the Tanzania Wildlife Research Institute (TAWIRI). He worked for over ten years with Sokoine University of Agriculture Centre for Sustainable Rural Development (SCSRD) to a Senior Research Officer level. He also worked with International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) as Regional Scientist and as Visiting Associate Professor at Graduate School of Asian and African Area Studies (ASAFAS), Kyoto University and served several times as Visiting Scientist at ASAFAS.
