The session host, Paul Laird, has worked with local CBOs and NGOs on tree planting, agroforestry, forest restoration and landscape projects in Kenya, Ethiopia, Sudan and Cameroon since the 1980s and currently at ITF supports partner projects in 10 countries. I will draw upon inputs from: – Mount Kenya Environmental Conservation and the 20 Women Groups and Self-Help Groups they support in Kenya – The Environment and Rural Development Foundation in Cameroon and their local partner organisations including COMAID, GADD, ACREST and Operation Green Space.
