An ecologist and geneticist, Dr Christopher Kettle focuses his research on tropical trees, their reproductive ecology and the importance of genetic resources for resilient landscapes. Since August 2017 he has been leading Bioversity International’s cross-cutting Forest Genetic Resources and Restoration Domain. He holds a joint appointment as Group Leader in Applied Molecular Ecology at ETH Zurich, Switzerland. He also leads the Safeguarding Forest Genetic Resources Cluster of CGIAR’s Research Program on Forests, Trees and Agroforestry
