Participative landscape governance: a basic condition for sustainable landscape management and restoration in Latin America and the Caribbean
This session will provide insights into work in Latin America and the Caribbean aimed at promoting participative landscape governance in sustainable landscape management and restoration projects. Participative landscape governance aims to ensure a central role for stakeholders in work to change the world’s environmental and developmental trajectories.
Participants at the session will review examples that underline the global and local inputs of various stakeholders, and their complementary actions in defining and implementing locally and globally-defined initiatives and approaches for forest landscape restoration, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable forest management.
