Dr. Djoudi is responsible for the design and implementation of programmes on the sustainable management of dryland forests and agrosilvopastoral systems. She brings over 25 years of experience across Sub-Saharan Africa, the MENA region, and Central and Southeast Asia, with a strong technical background in dryland forestry, agrosilvopastoral systems, and sustainable pastoralism. Her work bridges research, policy, and development, and she has led global platforms on sustainability and forest management, where she played a key advisory role to countries on sustainable forest management.

She holds a Master’s degree in livestock systems and pastoralism and a PhD from JLU Giessen, Germany. She has worked with GIZ and CIFOR-ICRAF, where she designed and implemented global programmes on drylands, forests, and agrosilvopastoral systems. Central to her approach is ensuring that the work she leads is technically sound, locally grounded, and aligned with the real needs of countries to support the development and implementation of sustainable policies. She has authored over 40 peer-reviewed publications and played leading roles in global flagship reports, including IPCC Assessment Reports.
