Patience Naamara Tumwesigye currently serves as Country Director for Fairventures Worldwide in Uganda. Here, she leads a team of young professionals working very closely with local communities towards Forest Landscapes Restoration in Uganda. She holds a Bachelors’ degree in Environmental Management , a Postgraduate Diploma in Environmental Management and a MSc in Tropical Forestry. Patience also holds postgraduate certificates in Environmental Communication and Journalism. She possess a wealth of experience spanning over 20 years, during which time she has worked in different placements directly engaged with matters relating to environmental management in both public and private sectors. She is a very active and passionate advocate about protection and preservation of the environment and has provided mentorship to many youth in the fight against climate change and ecosystem restoration.
