Day 1:
African Sovereign Solutions
The first day of the conference will highlight African solutions to African problems by prioritizing the restoration of degraded landscapes and placing the needs of its people at the heart of the agenda.
The last GLF Africa brought together over 8,000 participants and 90 partners, reached over 30 million people on social media and provided a crucial platform for 185 speakers – including 77% African nationals and 51% women.
Day 2:
Climate Survival Guide for a Planet in Crisis
On day 2, we will focus on scaling policy instruments that harmonize the climate and biodiversity nexus while centering the most affected people and areas. The event will occur 49 days before COP28 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, to frame the conversation on climate this year.
Last year’s event ‘GLF Climate 2022: Frontiers of Change’ united 7,000 participants from 164 countries and rallied over 27 million people on social media around what humanity can still do to avoid the worsening impacts of the climate crisis.
