Annie Wakanyi is a Kenyan who is committed to contributing to social justice and development in Africa, and believes that sustainable agriculture is the surest path to driving prosperity in the continent. She is currently a Director, Global Government Partnerships at One Acre Fund responsible for developing partnerships with public donors to achieve mutual goals of economic resilience and impact at scale for smallholder farmers in Africa. Annie has 19 years experience in business development, donor contract management and programming. Before joining One Acre Fund in February 2021, Annie worked for the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA) where she served the organization and Africa’s farmers for five years as the Head of Development Cooperation and previously as a Resource Mobilization Officer. Prior to AGRA, Annie worked in various business development roles at Oxfam, Plan International, and ChildFund International.
