Ms. Chen Jie, Associate Researcher from the Center for International Forest Product Trade of National Forestry and Grassland Administration. She has been engaging in the research on the national and international policy & market analysis for forest product trade, especially the illegal logging and associated trade and sustainable forest product trade. She has been working on the timber legality and green timber supply chain as of 2009. She participated in or coordinated a range of research projects on legal timber trade, including the WB project “Policy Mechanism for Promoting China-ASEAN Forest Governance and Legal Timber Trade” and China-UK cooperation project of “International Forestry Investment and Trade”, and also worked closely with the industry to support their efforts in legality by developing the Due Diligence Toolkits, the guide to timber supply chain management, etc. The 10-year research and practices make her a experienced expert in timber market and world legal timber trade.
