Pressure on natural resources, conflicts over resources, as well as global climate change and exclusion of youth in decision-making processes are increasingly driving young people to abandon their land and seek a more stable life in cities, or in other rural areas. At this critical stage, not only should we focus on sustainable land management, but also on exposing the underlying factors of rural youth migration.
The workshop will analyze the pushing and pulling effect of rural migration and will explore real world examples and stories addressing them.
