Klaus Ackermann is Head of the GIZ Global Programme Responsible Land Policy, initiated as part of the Special Initiative ONE WORLD – No Hunger of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). The program with the main objective of securing the land rights of families in rural areas, focusing especially on women and local communities, is currently being implemented in 7 countries, 6 of them in Sub-Saharan Africa. He has ten years of working experience in Sub-Sahara Africa, Mali, Mozambique and Madagascar. His specializations include land use planning, land governance, forestry and sustainable land management.
