Seungwoo Kang is an associate professional at the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENAs) Innovation and Technology Centre in Bonn, Germany. He is a part of the bioenergy team where his major work deals with assessing sustainable bioenergy potential, technologies and along with necessary strategies to be implemented. Prior to working at IRENA, he has over 5 years of professional experience in the energy and environmental consulting and was an international auditor for Environmental and Energy management systems, voluntary GHG reduction projects, carbon foot print for products, and sustainable forestry products.
He holds a PhD in Energy System modelling, two master’s in environmental engineering and environmental/energy economics from MINES Paristech, France and a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology), South Korea.
