Mrs Owusu-Amofah has over Ten (10) years’ work experience in the Environment and Natural Resources Management Field, particularly in the areas of Climate Change and REDD+, Social and Environmental Safeguards, Gender, Forest Governance and Collaborative Resource Management, Sustainable Nature-Based Enterprises and Value Chains.
Mrs Owusu-Amofah is currently the IUCN Ghana Country Coordinator; a role which involves working in local and international teams towards the advancement of IUCN’s Forest Programme in Ghana, through various projects. Her experience in collaborative resource management approaches, particularly CREMAs has been derived from her facilitation of multi-stakeholder processes and technical support to the strengthening of CREMA governance frameworks in the Forest and Savannah zones of Ghana through IUCN led initiatives with implementing partners.
Mrs Owusu-Amofah holds a MSc. in Environmental Management from the University of Nottingham, UK, and a BSc. in Natural Resources Management from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana. She also holds certificates of training from various institutions such as the Erasmus University-Rotterdam, Association of Project Managers Group (APMG), REDD+ Social and Environmental Standards (SES) and the Water Resources Commission of Ghana.
