Ms. Fei Jiao is a program officer in the Traditional Knowledge Division of WIPO. She joined in WIPO since June 2009. As a member of the WIPO Secretariat, she organizes and coordinates the WIPO Intergovernmental Committee on Intellectual Property and Genetic Resources, traditional knowledge and Folklore (the WIPO IGC), at which the WIPO Member States are negotiating international instruments on intellectual property and genetic resources, traditional knowledge and traditional cultural expressions.
Ms. Jiao received LL.M on intellectual property from University of Washington (USA) and PhD on intellectual property law, in particular intellectual property and traditional medical knowledge in Washington University in St. Louis (USA). She has written articles on intellectual property in general and some publications on intellectual property and traditional medical knowledge.
