Mark Constantine provides environmental and social risk management support on forestry and agribusiness investments for the International Finance Corporation’s (IFC) Manufacturing, Agribusiness and Services Department. Mark also co-led the development of the World Bank Group’s Strategy for Engagement in the Palm Oil Sector, as well as IFC’s approach on land intensive agribusiness and forestry investments. He also serves as co-chair of the Interlaken Group which promotes private sector adoption of practices consistent with the Voluntary Guidelines on Land Tenure. Previous positions with IFC have included serving as Manager of Corporate Relations, and as Special Representative for North America. Prior to IFC, Mark worked for the U.S Treasury Department and the House of Representatives where he helped legislate environmental and social reforms that were subsequently adopted by the multilateral development banks.
