Yacunã Tuxá is an indigenous activist and artist from the Tuxá people of Rodelas, Bahia, Brazil. She is a student of Vernacular Letters with Spanish at the Federal University of Bahia and a researcher. An illustrator, painter, and writer, she stands out for her works that portray the plurality and resistance of indigenous women. The intersection between race, gender, and sexuality are recurring themes in her art. Her works have been exhibited in important art institutions in Brazil such as the Pinacoteca do Estado de São Paulo, the Museum of Art of Rio, and the Museum of Art of São Paulo.
