Julia Nyambura is a climate justice and land restoration advocate from Mukogodo East Ward in Laikipia North Sub County. She represents youth in the Kenya Youth Federation and supports climate-resilient agriculture projects. She is also a group leader for the Kapron Self-Help Group, a youth group. Julia works relentlessly to promote agricultural solutions that directly address the serious issues of climate change and food hunger. Her inspiring leadership inspires other young people to take an active role in sustainable development, reaffirming the concept that collective action is the foundation of lasting change. Julia’s dedication to land restoration is exemplified by her cultivation of geranium, a high-value crop known for its ecological rejuvenation capabilities. She is excited to be highlighting the nexus between women’s land rights, climate action, and land restoration.
