Erick Ombija is a social scientist, non-academic researcher, youth advocate, youth-and- children development expert with sharp interest in large-scale practical ecosystem restoration, advocacy and green entrepreneurship. He is a Member of the UN Decade Youth Task Force and Global Co- Lead to the UN Decade Food Challenge. He is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at the Ecosystem Restoration Alliance of Kenya (KERA).
KERA is a youth-led, and values-driven national NGO that focuses on ecosystem restoration: bringing Kenya’s deforested and degraded areas back to life, restoring biodiversity, revitalising vulnerable local communities, and contributing to climate change mitigation.
