Bernard Kimoro holds a graduate degree (MSc Tropical Animal Production) specializing in ruminant nutrition. He coordinates livestock sub-sector policies and measures for climate change adaptation and mitigation. He is coordinating the transition of Kenya’s livestock GHG inventory to higher Tier IPCC GHG inventory methods which has resulted in use of Tier 2 in dairy GHG inventory and current work to support use of Tier 2 methods in non-dairy ruminants. He has 20+ years’ experience and has supported Kenya’s livestock sub-sector in the areas of: rural livestock and livestock value chain development; livestock climate change policy; livestock GHG modelling, inventory and MRV systems; and livestock climate risk and environmental assessments.
