Grace is an entrepreneur based in Githumu market Muranga County. Muranga County is located in central Kenya on the Aberdares ranges, a key water tower in Kenya. Being a tea farmer and growing up in a rural set up she has first-hand experience of the challenges facing farming families, among them being the dwindling firewood sources (a main source of fuel for cooking) and witnessing the effects of the firewood smoke on family’s health and the associated deforestation.  Following the introduction of clean cookstoves by the Upper Water Resources Users Association (WRUA), she decided to start the business of selling clean and efficient cook stoves.

After completion of her secondary education Grace pursued hairdressing as a profession in addition to being  a trainer of trainers (lead farmer) building the capacity of farmers on good agricultural practices.

Her vision is to contribute towards mitigating climate change in her community through promotion and sale of clean cooking stoves.
