Description

The Congo Dam lies in the mountains just behind Freetown. Part of a water catchment for the Western Area Peninsula, this system is vital to the life of the forest and several million people. Despite being a metropolis, the people of Freetown depend on the forest to provide a reliable clean source of water filtered by the mountains and travelling down to the sea. With encroachment on the rise, we must recognize that water is life, deserves protection at all costs.
