Lewa Wildlife Conservancy also known as Lewa Downs is located at the furthest corner of Meru county, bordering Isiolo, in northern Kenya. The conservancy is home to various species and is mostly identified with the grevy zebra. On a good day, one can spot Mt. Kenya from the conservancy. Lewa is mostly recognized for the annual Lewa marathon which aims to raise funds for conservation programmes.
