Description

A rare moment of coming a cross a woman who was moving construction materials to erect her hut near a berkad (a water point).Berkads (roofed underground water storage well) are designed to capture run-off water cascading from the surrounding hills. The run-off water passes through a carefully designed sit-trap and a cleaner water flows into the main storage compartment and this is what community use for drinking, which is purified further by putting in water-guard (water purification agent).
