Dr. Yamanoshita has been carrying out research on climate change mitigation measures in the area of forests, focusing on the capabilities of local communities. She joined a forest-carbon project with local communities in Vietnam as an expert and experienced many difficulties through the project development process. At the same time, she is also analyzing global climate change and forest mechanisms such as A/R CDM and REDD+. She is currently interested in designing a global mechanism to motivate local communities in developing countries to manage forests by reflecting their reality and supporting their capability development.
