Emelyne Cheney joined UN Environment in 2014 to coordinate UN Environment’s REDD+ technical assistance to Congo Basin countries. She moved to the Asia and Pacific Office in January 2017 to manage UN-REDD activities in the region. Prior, she worked for the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations as an expert on REDD+ governance and built a global portfolio of projects related to social and environmental safeguards, land tenure, legal preparedness and governance assessments.
