Global Landscapes Forum Kyoto 2019: As it happened

On 13 May, more than 170 representatives of government, NGOs, Indigenous groups, the private sector, youth, civil society, science and media gathered at the International Conference Center in Kyoto, Japan, to connect, learn and share ideas and experiences on how to move from commitment to action in creating more sustainable landscapes. During the conference, the city of Kyoto announced it would reach zero emissions by 2050.

For the first time ever, GLF launched a Digital Edition, which aired climate change videos, special addresses and art streamed live from five continents, reaching over 2 million people on social media.
