Musah Abu-Juam is the Technical Director in Charge of Forestry at the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources. He is a Botanist by profession with a Post Graduate Degree in Environmental Science from the University of Aberdeen, United Kingdom.

Musah has over 25 years of experience in forest resource management with the Forestry Commission of Ghana and has played an integral role in the design, preparation and implementation of many sustainable forest management projects including the Ghana Forest Investment Programme, High Forest Biodiversity Conservation Project and the Northern Savannah Biodiversity Conservation Project. At the Ministry, he has coordinated the formulation of policies and legislations to reform the approach of forest management in the sector. This includes the revision of the 1994 Forest and Wildlife Policy, the Wood Procurement Policy and currently the on-going consolidation of the fragmented wildlife laws into a single Bill which amongst other things seeks to provide legal backing for the Community Resource Management Areas (CREMA) concept.
