Elena Barth has been working with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH in the Central Asian region since 2017. Her expertise is in climate change adaptation and the sustainable management of natural resources. Elena holds a M.Sc. degree in “Global Change: Ecosystem Science and Policy” from the University of Gießen (Germany) and University College Dublin (Ireland). She is particularly interested in social-ecological systems and joint management approaches for ecosystems.
