Alexandru Ghiurca is a policy officer focusing on land, landscapes and environmental integration at the European Commission, Directorate General for International Cooperation and Development. In this position, he is managing global thematic projects on desertification and land degradation, and he is contributing to EU’s position in international negotiations and decision-making processes on several land-related issues. Alexandru also has broader expertise in environmental and development policies in general.
