Alejandra holds a postgraduate degree in Environmental Assessment and Management for Development Plans, Programs and Projects from the Universidad Mayor de San Andrés in La Paz, Bolivia. She has served as an Environmental and Development Engineer at Escuela Agrícola Panamericana Zamorano in Honduras and as Assistant to the Head of the Environmental Unit, and Assistant to the Department of External Relations in Madrid, Spain. Currently with the position of Departmental Secretary of the Secretariat of Sustainable Development and Environment, of the Autonomous Government of Santa Cruz. The objective of the department is to promote actions, projects and programs on sustainable development and the environment, integrating environmental management, the conservation of natural resources and the territorial ordering and limits, for the benefit of the population.

Actualmente con el cargo de Secretaria Departamental de la Secretaría de Desarrollo Sostenible y Medio Ambiente, del Gobierno Autónomo de Santa Cruz. Tiene como objetivo el impulsar y promover acciones, proyectos y programas sobre desarrollo Sostenible y Medio Ambiente, integrando la gestión ambiental, la conservación de los Recursos Naturales y el ordenamiento territorial y límites, en beneficio de la población.
