Why host a session at GLF Nairobi 2023?
- Promote your organization, brand and message among millions of stakeholders in 185 countries in English, Spanish and French.

- An interactive session must be structured as 50% workshop and 50% plenary-style discussion. At the GLF, we aim to create avenues for the sharing and exchange of knowledge, and this session type does just that. Our events bring together frontline women leaders, businesses, youth movements, grassroot actors, farmers’ cooperatives, scientists, researchers, policy makers, government officials, and civil society, offering an excellent opportunity to access a wealth of knowledge and expertise from varied angles.
- This format is ideal for harnessing the wealth of knowledge and expertise of the event participants and tapping into the collective intelligence of a relevant and diverse group. You will be able to collect case studies, best practice examples and inputs for policy recommendations, brainstorm on important topics for your organization, or find differences and similarities across regionally diverse experiences.
- Your session will be co-developed with the continuous support of the GLF team and our expert facilitators.

You and your organization will receive the full support of the Global Landscapes Forum knowledge, learning, communications, digital, event and youth teams, as well as the GLF’s partnerships, to create and deliver a session, including:
- Continuous support to develop, plan and deliver the session, including guidance on your team roles, script, and format ideas as well as support during the day of the event. The GLF team will help you optimize participatory engagements from upwards of 100 “in-room” participants and 500 digital participants.
- Guidance and support in developing the most suited formats for harvesting workshop outputs and turning them into session outcomes.
- Help in engaging your target audience through pre-event online activities and interactive components within sessions. The GLF team will provide a dedicated session page, session web card design, marketing toolkits, free tickets, logo placement, support in producing a white paper (optional) and much more.
- Full technical support for the in-person and online space including pre-conference run-throughs, post-conference analytics, platform integration, Zoom background advice from our digital producer and more. Workshop set up and materials will be provided.

Celebrating Africa’s diverse landscapes and highlighting locally-led landscape solutions
With vast natural resources to support its food systems, livelihoods, markets and growing young population, Africa has an unprecedented opportunity to restore its degraded landscapes, cater to the needs of its people and pave a sustainable way forward for all of humanity.
We’re thrilled to announce the launch of the GLF Africa 2024 Photography Awards. Whether you’re a professional or amateur photographer, we’d love to see your photos showcasing the continent’s vast landscapes in all their grandeur.
We want to show the world stunning images of Africa’s diverse peoples and their way of life across its various landscapes. So, get your cameras ready and snap us your best shots of tropical forests, grasslands, drylands, peatlands, wetlands, the ocean and coasts – and African livelihoods.
Entries will be accepted until 29 July. Finalists will be announced by mid August, with winners announced on 13 September. The best photos will be showcased at the GLF Africa 2024 Hybrid Conference and featured on the GLF’s Flickr account.
