Dorothy is currently leading FSD Africa’s Natural Capital, Biodiversity Finance & TNFD programme. She is also the head of the African Natural Capital Alliance (ANCA) – an initiative set up by the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) and FSD Africa. ANCA is a collaborative forum for mobilizing the financial community’s response to the risk of nature loss in Africa.
Previously, she was Head of Risk and Compliance at ICEA LION, where she led the implementation of the UNEP PSI as well as represented Africa the TCFD insurer pilot group and the Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials (PCAF). Together with the UNEP PSI, she was instrumental in the co-creation and launch of the Nairobi Declaration on Sustainable Insurance.
She is a Board member and Deputy Chair of the IRM UK’s Global Board and chairs the Nomination Committee. I sit on the Board of Safaricom Money Transfer Services Ltd as well as World Vision Kenya where I chair the Audit and Risk Committee. I am the Founding Chair of the IRM East Africa Regional Group (a member body of the IRM UK).
Dorothy has been recognized as one the Top40Under40 Women in Kenya, Top 50 Women in Insurance in Africa 2022, among others.
