Martin Cremer, holds the business degree of “Diplom-Kaufmann” (MBA equivalent) and a Diplôme de Grande Ecole de Gestion from ESCP Europe, Paris. He has worked as a senior banker with 16 years’ experience in SME lending, credit risk evaluation and management and private equity. Before joining Frankfurt School of Finance and Management in 2011, Martin has worked as a freelance debt advisor and held various positions at Unicredit Corporates & Markets in Germany and France, as well as BNP Paribas. At Frankfurt School, Mr. Cremer has significant experience in sustainable energy finance projects.

For the UNEP Seed Capital Assistance Facility (SCAF), he identified and negotiated terms with private equity investors in the context of implementing the facility, which aims to help clean energy entrepreneurs access enterprise development support and early stage seed capital. He is actively involved in adapting and replicating this public-private-partnership approach into, amongst others, the forestry landscape restoration space. Martin is currently the Deputy Head at the Frankfurt School – UNEP Collaborating Centre for Climate & Sustainable Energy Finance based in Frankfurt, Germany.
