Urs Dieterich aims to mainstream investment into sustainable land use strategies, building on his background working in finance, carbon markets, forestry, development and public policy. Given the vast potential in mobilizing private capital for conservation, he is eager to identify and develop innovative financing solutions that allow private investors to yield the required risk-adjusted returns while achieving measurable environmental outcomes. Urs has experience working with big corporate clients, investors, intergovernmental institutions and community-based organisations. He holds a Masters of Environmental Management (MEM) from Yale University and a B.Sc. in Forestry Science & Resource Management from Technical University Munich.
