Mr. Nsita holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Forestry of Makerere University obtained in 1979. He has worked for Uganda’s Forestry Department for 25 years, Uganda National Forestry Authority for five years, and became a private consultant in 2008, specializing in forestry. During his professional work, Mr. Nsita has been mostly involved in responsible management of Uganda’s natural forests, helping to improve management practices, developing guidelines for professional management of all types of forests in Uganda, and working with local communities.
Over the span of his professional life, Mr. Nsita has evaluated many forestry-related development projects in Uganda, and he has been involved in forestry research and training. This brought him face to face with policy development, and forest governance assessment.
