Simra Riyaz

Simra Riyaz is a law graduate whose work lies at the intersection of environmental law, biodiversity policy, and rights-based climate action. She is currently a junior researcher at the Centre for a Smart Future, contributing to policy analysis on conservation finance and marine governance in Sri Lanka. As Co-Founder and Director of Legal and Policy at The Climate Intelligence Network, she has led initiatives that translate national climate commitments into youth-accessible policy knowledge. Simra also serves as Chapter Coordinator of the Global Youth Biodiversity Network Sri Lanka, engaging in national biodiversity policy processes.
