Dr. Shinichi Takeuchi is the former Director of the African Studies Group at the Institute of Developing Economies – JETRO. He received a PhD from the University of Tokyo and is interested in academic research into African politics, peacebuilding, and land issues. He edited the book Confronting Land and Property Problems for Peace (Routledge, 2014).
