Shaw La Mun is an indigenous youth from Burma working in grassroots mobilizations and youth engagement in documenting, sustaining, and defending the territories of lives and combating the environmental crisis. He is passionate about bridging local struggles with global movements through engagement with regional and global movements. Shaw serves as a program manager in HKASHI, a local civil society working on environmental justice in Kachin State, Myanmar. Also, he is engaged with regional networks, including Global Youth Biodiversity Networks, in delegating for advocacy and policy work for youth participation in meaningful engagement and decision-making processes. He supported IPLCs and the human rights area for the policy team in COP16 and ASEAN youth mapping contributions to KMGBF targets.
