Mary Perpetua Kwakuyi

Mary Perpetua Kwakuyi is the Executive Director of Goshen Global Vision, a community-led natural resources management NGO building capacities of women, youth and students in urban, peri-urban and rural landscapes restoration to ensure food security, poverty alleviation, improved livelihoods whilst increasing tree cover. Inspired by an ancient proverb, “we do not inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children”. Her organization has led the planting of 429,731 trees, restoring 18,777.78 hectare benefitting over 23,000 cocoa families of which 82% are women and 78% youth respectively in Ghana’s Western Region.
