Jessica Vieira

Jess Vieira, PhD, leads Sustainability at Apeel by using data-driven analyses to maximize the net environmental and societal benefits of Apeel’s products. Her work in life-cycle thinking and climate-positive approaches is crucial to maximizing Apeel’s positive impact opportunities related to climate change, food waste, market access for small producers in emerging economies, and food security. Before joining Apeel, she worked on environmental sustainability at both The Dow Chemical Company and Apple. She currently sits on the Advisory Committee for Kroger’s Zero Hunger, Zero Waste Foundation Innovation Fund, established to help support new systems and technologies reshaping the food supply.
