Emelyne Cheney

Emelyne Cheney, Director of Projects at Lestari Capital, oversees the delivery of Collective and Solutions business lines within Lestari Capital, including Rimba Collective and RSPO Solutions. She has spent the last 12 years working towards practical solutions to address the rapid disappearance of tropical forests in Central Africa and Southeast Asia. She worked for the United Nations Environment Programme, first as a coordinator for Congo Basin countries and then as a team leader and senior technical advisor on forest and climate change in Asia Pacific. Prior, she was an expert on forest governance at the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations, where she built a global portfolio of projects related to social and environmental safeguards, land tenure, legal preparedness and governance assessments.
