Daniel Bentes graduated in Environmental Engineering at State University of Pará (UEPA) and holds a master’s degree in Applied Ecology from São Paulo University (USP). Daniel is also a Specialist in Business Management at Senac (2017). He has experience working in the Carajás Iron Project at Vale S/A (2011-2014) and in teaching (UEPA, 2014); and worked in the areas of Strategic Planning (2015 -2018), in Project Management and Public Policies in the State of Pará, coordinating the “Pará 2030 Program” (http://www.para2030.com.br/). As an environmental consultant, he has worked for companies in the private sector, state government and the World Bank, in projects for environmental licensing and management of industrial, infrastructure and tourism projects. Currently, Daniel serves as executive director of Confloresta.
