Alex is a geographer at the World Bank, where his current work focuses on sustainable landscapes management. That requires him to translate policy, science, finance and technology into results that matter for landscapes, people and the planet. That can be fun. He holds a PhD in geo-information science from Boston University and undergraduate degrees in geography and agricultural sciences from the Free University and Humboldt University in Berlin, Germany.
