Andrea Athanas is the Program Design Director in Europe for AWF. Ms. Athanas has 20 years of experience working with the conservation community in relationship management, strategy and planning, and program design and has brought sustainability solutions to the agriculture, energy, and mining sectors. She has experience building business practices for biodiversity conservation and advising companies such as Shell, Nestle Nespresso, and Rio Tinto on managing their environmental footprints. Her current portfolio focuses on bringing wildlife conservation into the transformation of African economies by mobilizing finance and investment from European partners.
